Terms of Use

Applies to: www.moosepharmacy.com

This policy is reviewed periodically and updated when our tools, services, or data practices change. The current version reflects our practices as of the date it was last revised.

NOTICE: This Privacy Policy was not drafted by a licensed attorney and does not constitute legal advice. Moose Pharmacy makes reasonable efforts to ensure this policy reflects our actual data practices and applicable law, but we recommend consulting a qualified attorney if you have specific legal compliance concerns.

Moose Pharmacy ("Moose," "we," "our," or "us") is a family-owned, independent pharmacy group serving communities across Rowan, Cabarrus, Stanly, and Union Counties in North Carolina. We have been trusted by patients and families since 1882, and protecting your privacy is part of that trust.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on moosepharmacy.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and what choices you have. It does not cover information collected through in-person pharmacy visits or prescription records, which are governed by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

By using this Site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

This Site does not currently include account registration, newsletter sign-up forms, or contact forms that collect personal information. If you reach out to us by phone or email, we may receive your name, phone number, email address, and any message you send. That information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our Site, certain information is collected automatically by the third-party tools described below. This may include your IP address and approximate location, browser type and operating system, pages viewed and time spent on each page, the referring website or search query that brought you here, and device type (desktop, mobile, tablet). We do not link this data to your name, prescription records, or any other personally identifying health information.

2. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our Site uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — along with similar tracking tools. Some are placed by us; others are placed by third-party services we use.

We use CookieYes as our consent management platform. When you visit the Site, a CookieYes banner will give you the opportunity to review and control which non-essential cookie categories are set on your device before they are placed. You can update your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in our Site footer.

Cookie categories in use: Strictly Necessary (required for the Site to function, cannot be turned off), Analytics (help us understand how visitors use the Site), Marketing/Advertising (help us measure ad performance), and Functional (remember your preferences across visits).

For full details on how CookieYes handles consent data, see their privacy policy at cookieyes.com/privacy-policy.

3. Third-party tools we use

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors navigate our Site. Google Analytics collects data such as page views, session duration, traffic sources, and general geographic location (city/region level). This data is aggregated and not linked to your name or health records. To opt out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com)

Our Site embeds video through youtube-nocookie.com, a privacy-enhanced version of YouTube designed not to track your activity unless you interact with the video. If you watch or interact with the embedded video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

Meta Pixel (Facebook)

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The Pixel may collect data about your visit and may link that activity to your Facebook profile if you are logged into Facebook. To opt out: facebook.com/ads/preferences. Meta's data policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy

Webflow

This Site is built and hosted on Webflow. Webflow may process technical data (IP address, device data, usage logs) as part of delivering and securing the Site. Webflow's privacy policy: webflow.com/legal/privacy

Acuity Scheduling

Scheduling links on this Site direct you to Acuity Scheduling, a third-party appointment platform. Information you provide during scheduling is governed by Acuity's privacy policy, not this one: acuityscheduling.com/privacy-policy.php

RxLocal (Prescription Refills)

Prescription refill links direct you to RxLocal, a secure third-party pharmacy platform. Any health or prescription information you enter there is governed by RxLocal's privacy practices and applicable HIPAA regulations, not this Privacy Policy.

Shopify (Moose Shop)

Our online supplement shop (moosepharmacy.myshopify.com) runs on Shopify. Purchases made through the Shop are governed by Shopify's privacy policy. Shopify processes payment and shipping information securely. Shopify's privacy policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy

4. HIPAA notice
