Homemade Cookie Day

What is it that makes homemade cookies so much better than a store bought alternative? Is it the secret recipe that everyone is dying to know? The precious time spent making each batch? Or is it that wonderful feeling when you take that first bite?

Whatever the case may be, we know for certain that cookie lovers find them delicious!

Moose Pharmacy has mastered the production of their very own “homemade cookies” called MoosePacks.

Rather than chocolate chips or macadamia nuts, each MoosePack is filled with a number of different medications catered towards a specific patient and their monthly pharmaceutical needs.

The pharmacy technicians in the pack room are no different than a baker in their home kitchen.

They dedicate much time and attention to their craft to ensure the end result is perfection, and each pack is made with plenty of love for Moose patients everywhere!

As a sweets lover myself, I understand how difficult it is to get that sweet tooth under control.

In fact, many adults lack the ability or initiative to control their sugar consumption or participate in physical activity on a daily basis which often leads to obesity.

From 2017 to 2020, 41.9% of adults and 19.7% of teens and children in the United States were obese.

Of course there are medications that can help with weight gain but if National Homemade Cookie Day has taught us anything, it is that sometimes it’s worth it to take the more organic approach even if it takes more time and/or energy.

Even a nice walk around the neighborhood or ingraining a diet into your everyday routine can go a long way!

Bullet Points:

  • Carve out some time to bake some homemade cookies/your favorite sweet treat and share it with people in your community.
  • Consider switching your prescriptions to Moose Packs to improve adherence to your medications.
  • Speak to a Moose pharmacist to learn about more ways to control your sugar consumption and combat obesity.
