First Day of Fall!

Do you know when is the first day of fall? Of course! when it starts to get a bit chilly. But actually, fall officially begins on "equal night," the first day of autumn which is called autumn equinox.

On this day, daylight lasts almost as long as nighttime in the majority of the world's locations. Even though one day will still have 24 hours, it will start to feel like there is so little time if any.

Along with the fall season, many more things come our way.

These could be common cold viruses, flu and even strep. Low temperatures and humidity could increase the risk of illnesses. People start to spend more time in indoor activities which leads to the spread of contagious pathogens even more.

In the winter, COVID-19, the flu, and cold cases frequently peak. For most people it is recommended to get influenza vaccine for the season, vaccination should ideally be offered during September.
