When A.W. Moose started Moose Drug Co. in 1882, it’s doubtful he considered how strong his legacy of trust, loyalty, and personal care would become. Whit Jr. and Joe Moose, fourth generation pharmacists, and their staff continue building the trust and loyalty of their patients everyday. Whit and Joe work together to oversee the operation of Moose Pharmacy’s three locations and four pharmacies. They are an example of the professional and highly trained staff at each Moose Pharmacy location.

 

Whit manages the Mt. Pleasant pharmacy. He is a graduate of the UNC- Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy and is certified in osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and homeopathy. He also serves on the Mt. Pleasant Planning and Zoning board and is an accomplished musician.

 

Dr. Joe Moose manages the Concord location. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1990 from Campbell University. He is co-chair of the NC Medicaid Drug Regimen Review Board, a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee for NC Medicaid, an adjunct assistant professor at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy, and Director of Community Pharmacy residency for UNC-Chapel Hill.  

 

     James Bowman

James graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy in 2004, where he later completed a Community Pharmacy Residency in 2005 with Moose Pharmacy. Moose Pharmacy, established in 1882, is an independent pharmacy with three stores located in Mt Pleasant, Concord, and Midland. At Moose Pharmacy, he works as a clinical staff pharmacist involved with various clinical activities, precepting students and residents, compounding, and staffing. Some of the clinical activities he provides include immunizations, medication therapy management services, hormone replacement therapy consultations, and cholesterol/diabetes/blood pressure services. He is currently associated with Wingate University School of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy Practice. James is an active member with NCAP, APhA, NCPA, and ACCP.  James is currently working at our Midland and Mt. Pleasant locations.
