Moose Pharmacy 125th Anniversary Celebration
On December 15, 2007, Moose Pharmacy celebrated 125 years in business with a free, community festival. Although the day was cold and rainy, over 600 families and friends of Moose Pharmacy came to celebrate.

An inflatable slide and moon bounce entertained children of every age.

Free pictures with Santa were another highlight of the day.

With health screenings and local businesses hosting booths, attendees learned more about community resources.
Congressman Robin Hayes and his wife Barbara visited with Whit Sr. and Dot Moose during the celebration. “I’ve known the Moose family for all of my 62 years,” Hayes said. “My mill is across the street. They are great neighbors and great friends.”
Other local officials attended the event including Mt. Pleasant Mayor Troy Barnhardt, Concord Mayor Scott Padgett, Midland Mayor John Crump, Cabarrus County Sheriff Brad Riley, and Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce President and CEO John Cox. They all helped the Moose family cut the ribbon to celebrate their achievements as one of the oldest businesses in Cabarrus County.
Pat and Johnny Drye joined the celebration. They’ve patronized Moose Pharmacy for 74 years, the longest time span of any Moose customer. “When I was a child, my family got me medicine here. I’ve gone for my kids,” said Pat Drye. “They are always good to us. They watch out for us.”
